Dont pay the mortgage interest. Its a trap.

Measly $227 paid in mortgage interest in 2016. ❗This should have been closer to $15,600. 😳(283k over 30 years amortized🙄) Our out of pocket buy down to the lender was around 19k. Pays for itself in 15~ months. JAW DROPPING. 😮Buy down vs down payment, the buy down ALWAYS wins. There is no incentive to put money into a down payment, so why do it?

Down payments are old news, so is Pmi, so is checking your credit score, so is closing costs, and other ridiculous fees they WILL roll into your loan, whether you know it or not.

One of the only pictures I have when Iw as 16

Interesting this about this 14 year old picture I stumbled across.

1. Taken my Pinkesh Gala with a digital camera. Remember, this is 2002. Digital was expensive back then. Digital and Fraley did not go in the same sentence. Likely the only digital picture taken when I was 16.
2. Compaq? Fuck.
3. zip drives? basically a floppy disk on steroids. What like 150MB of storage was it? That lasted like 2 years.
4.Floppy disks? Seriously? wow.
5.I bought this computer on ebay for about $150 on ebay while in a computer class @ school.(Saved for a super long time) I believe it was a Pentium 1, 166MHZ(not GHZ) processor, and like MAYBE 2MB of Ram(Again, not GB)
6. Dresser in the background. I still have it, and it still looks exactly like in this pic, with the Speedy Gonzalez drawer knobs.
7.LAMPS? What are LAMPS? recessed lighting these days.
8. The computer monitor border is YELLOW, anyone want to guess why? cigarette smoke from my mother. Growing up in THAT. WAS. MISERY.

tweeter, ha!

At this time I had just started working for tweeter in rockville a few months back. Mother got us evicted in April 2007.(was homeless until mid summer) I was living in Bowie with a friends grandmother paying $400/mo in rent. Later this December Jen & I would move into our first basement apartment off boiling brook pkwy in Rockville for $800/month. Jen was unemployed after her step mothers sister was a douche bag and fired her(long story) Jens parents did also not like me, which was a big misunderstanding, but fair enough. I instigated it.(I make it very easy for people to judge me, then tell them to fuck off I know the heart I have) I was carrying us financially for quite some time. I was broke with wreck less spending habits, I only had enough to pay bills, blowing the rest. I was 19, making 25-35k a year(commission). Just 6 months prior I was eating PBJ’s out of my car with $10 in the bank. This is just 9 years ago. I’ve moved 5 times since and have a 0% mortgage.

I got stories until I’m blue in the face. Moral of the story is this. I don’t give a fuck what you have been through, failing is a CHOICE. Ever worked 80 hours a week for 4 months straight? I did. Step your game up! Unless your physically and mentally medically incapable, get off your ass, change your habits and do whatever the fuck it takes.

I’m not nearly where I want to be because my standards are very high, but at least I got out of that fucking TRAP I call being helplessly POOR generation after generation.

friendships matter

I’ve known this cat for 15 years! You can’t BUY friendships Andradiges friendship! Everything I would ever want in a friend this guy posses. It’s truly unique. Which makes him more like my family.

1. He pushes me, he openly constructively criticizes me without fear or hesitation. Open and straightforward. He does this with a genuine purpose. Practically nobody I know does this.
2. He blatantly calls me out when I’m wrong
3. He is present, openly available. Always makes the time. Makes friendship a top priority.
4. exceptional listener. One of the most genuine listeners I know.
5. He has always supported me through adversity, hard times. Understood my unique challenges and helped me press on no matter what.
6. Knows how to calm me down in the quickest of ways.
7. He’s not afraid to keep me in check.
8. He is extremely loyal. 11/10, you just don’t see this ever!!!
9. Shehehehehehehe, he is extremely FUNNY. I could laugh with him about absolutely NOTHING all day.
10. Probably the most important of all, he is next level TRUSTWORTHY. I unquestionably trust very few people in this cold world, I would trust him with my life on the line!
