Real friends cannot be replaced. I think one of the number one things a person simply cannot live without are friends. I can live without a family, as I have for a good amount of my life anyways. I substitute my family, with my friends. So I can live without a “good” or “traditional” family setup. I mean everything I “should” go to my family for, I usually go to my friends. When I need any type of help… I always call my friends. When I am in a pickle situation, I usually call my friends. I rarely if ever call my family. Why? Plenty of reasons. Probably the most blunt reason is everyone in my family really has a hard time communicating with each other. They are usually stubborn, mad, jealous, envy… judgemental…. etc. I am the same way probably.. Its not just everyone else its me too. We all live very different lifestyles. “Family” was never stressed to be very important growing up in my generation. Too much anger, hate, jealousy… just too much. Nobodys perfect, thats okay. Everyone lives different lives.. thats ok. Whatever makes people happy, its cool with me. Doesnt mean I will always agree with it.. but thats life.
I feel as if I literally learned most of what I know in “life” based on what everyone else in my family did “wrong”. I just learned that doing the opposite of what most people were doing usually worked out the best for me. I saw people doing nothing, I did everything.
The world is a strange place. Too many rights and wrongs floating around. I feel as if I need to create my own journey. dont do this… blah blah dont do that.. blah blah. Life is all going to end one day. Just live life to be happy.
We have too many things that we want, and not enough things that we NEED. Material things just dont cut it.
As I have stated before, over and over and over again, this is one of my “quotes of life” if you want to call it that. It took me SO long to realize this, and I am SO glad I have learned this at such a young age.(I learned this when I was about 21-22 years old or so).
