Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind.

I have too much content and am slowly starting to properly categorize my material. Hang in there! :)
Gossip.
Gossip dies when it hits a wise persons ears.
Alone.
Sometimes you need to be alone to find out who you really are, and what you truly want in life.
It’s so simple…
What we think, we become.
-The budda
Speak.
Speak to your children as if they were the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on the earth. For what they believe is what they will become.
Happy!
If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that.
Booker T Washington
The highest test of the civilization of any race is in its willingness to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate.
On the right track…
You know you’re on the right track when you’re uninterested in looking back.
BREAK THE CYCLE OF TOXICITY FROM YOUR PARENTS
Once you break the old TOXIC patterns, you’ll be much more open and available for a truly open and loving relationships – towards yourself and others. You will be finally able to love yourself. When you break the cycle, you stop acting like a victim, or stop acting like an abusive or inadequate parent. You’ll be more confident & assertive.
Stop playing the game.
Instead of fantasizing how your parents will change, strive to become a self-defined and assertive person. The more self-defined and independent you become, the less your toxic parents are probably going to like it, but they will also have less control over your life.
That’s why it’s important that you trust your own feelings and perceptions, and become who you really are, following your own goals and respecting your own needs.
You no longer have to be the helpless, dependent child with your partners, children, friends, colleagues, authority figures, and parents. You can finally be more emotionally available in your relationships, especially to your children. You become more independent.
Children of toxic parents often times behave toxically to other people in their relationships – spouse, siblings, friends etc. Remember, its a cycle. Apologizing to all the people you have hurt, and all the mistakes you made (especially to your children if you have them) is an IMPORTANT PART OF BREAKING THE CYCLE.
GENUINE LOVE creates feelings of warmth, pleasure, safety, inner peace and stability. These are also the loving behaviors you should spread among the people you love and the whole humanity. Live whole-heartedly. Express gratitude.
But remember, becoming a true loving adult is not a linear process… but a road on which you go upwards, downwards, forwards, backwards, and inside out.
You will falter and make mistakes on the path. A great deal of self‑reflection and proactive behavior can definitely help you on this path of becoming a healthy adult. You will also never be completely free of anxiety, fear, guilt and confusion, because no one is. But the demons seeded in you by your TOXIC PARENTS will no longer control you.
And that is the key. Reclaim your life! 🙂
Silver lining
From urban dictionary. I needed to read this today.
“Look for the silver lining” is a suggestion that has been said so often it may appear trite to some. But it actually contains a very deep wisdom, that can help us all to get through difficulties.
“Every cloud has a silver lining” means that every difficulty or setback that causes harm, also contains a potential for a beneficent outcome. By searching for any positive effects of any difficulty or confusing circumstance, we can begin to feel more inner peace in response to the situation, thus regaining our ability to solve it if we can, or accept it if we can’t.
Example: I was so distraught that the cyclone had ripped apart our house, and destroyed everything I owned, that I became morose and helpless, unable to do anything. But I noticed that the entire neighborhood were all helping each other, talking to each other cheerfully, sympathetically, showing kindnesses and support in a way they never had before, and I began to recognize that there was a silver lining even in this disaster!
phrase used to tell someone that there is a brighter side to the problem they are facing.
