I say this ALL the time. I will keep playing my hand as best I can. But that’s not good enough. I’m striving for pure GREATNESS. I ALWAYS have a chip on my shoulder. My success simply CANNOT be linked to “good parenting” “getting money from parents” “inheriting wealth after family dies” “being around smart family members who teach important success habits in life” “borrowing money from parents for a house” things of that nature. I HAD NONE OF THAT SHIT. I have ALWAYS been the underdog, always having to make many sacrifices many others do not. You can hate me because I’m cocky/arrogant all you want. I DARE you to step in my shoes, you would have crumbled so fast. Success is easy when all you have to do is simply SHOW UP. That’s not real success, that’s fabricated success. Real success comes from within after much pain and sacrifice. When you have the the whole deck stacked against you and you somehow manage to make the best situation possible being dealt a 27, when your constantly going against a pocket pair. I may not win every hand, but the ones I do I make them count. 330 miles over 5 days? Starts tomorrow morning. That’s nothing compared to 18 years of smoke, drugs, welfare, death, and abandonment.
